Have you ever wanted to change the color of your hair but were afraid to try in case it came out looking horrible? Why not try out a few dozen hair colors using temporary hair color. As the name suggests temporary hair color is not permanent and will wash out either when you next wash your hair or with some products after just a few washes. If you only want to try a color for a day, or if you want to have fun with family and friends you can get hair color in a rainbow of colors that with will range from a subtle change to so bright people will be getting their sunglasses out.
Temporary hair colour has improved greatly over the years and now goes on much the same as permanent hair color does, the big difference is that temporary colors do not damage your hair the way permanent colors do, and of course they wash out. There are two different types of temporary colors, they type that washes out in the next shampoo, and the type that washes out after 6 to 12 washes.
The first type of temporary hair colour is often used by those wanting to dye their hair for a sporting event, party, or for Halloween. This is why most temporary colors will be vivid colors such as green, purple or bright pink, these can be a lot of fun for the high school foot ball team or cheer leaders, or is a great way to compliment a Halloween costume making it look more realistic that a wig will. And then the fun is over, simply give your hair a good scrubbing and your hair goes back to the color it was before.
Semi permanent hair color is a bit different, the colors are a bit more subtle and closer to the color your hair already is. Great for putting in highlights, or to try a bit of color before you decide to make it permanent. Semi permanent hair color also adds a nice highlight to your hair without causing it damage from the harsh peroxide or ammonia that is part of other hair dyes. This is great if your hair is already damaged or delicate and you really want to try a bit of color but not at the risk of damaging your hair.
Temporary hair colour is a great way to shake things up a bit, while keeping it safe and not making big changes that you have to live with for a long time. You can dye your hair for fun or you can dye your hair for a special date and not have to live with the color till it grows out.
